Island TV Radio Bureau
TVM has 20 bureaus throughout the atolls of the Maldives and this is the regional one for the north. It is mainly a radio facility with a desk and a laptop for the local TV reporter. They are one-person bands, reporting, shooting and editing their stories to feed into the bureau in Male.
Our team was the object of much curiousity in a place that doesn’t see many Americans. Bob and Elaine, in their black shirts and sunglasses, looked like extras from “Men in Black.”
