Anzur developed her coaching techniques while serving as an assistant professor on the faculty of the School of Journalism, Annenberg School for Communication, University of Southern California, in Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, Terry co-anchored "KTLA News at Ten" from 1997 to 2000, winning a Golden Mike award from the Southern California Radio-Television News Association for Best Prime Time Newscast. Her hands-on approach to anchoring also contributed to a Golden Mike and Associated Press awards for Best News Writing. From 2001 to 2006 she was a weeknight anchor on WPEC-TV, the CBS affiliate in West Palm Beach, winning an Emmy for breaking news coverage, an AP award for public affairs reporting and national commendations from the Genesis Awards for investigative reporting. On the national scene, Terry is best known as the co-anchor of "In Depth," a two-hour, daily, interactive news program on America's Talking, the NBC cable network that became MSNBC. With co-hosts Chris Matthews and John Gibson, she led a national on-air and online conversation with viewers and guests about the top stories of the day, which included the O.J. Simpson trials and the Oklahoma City bombing. She was nominated for a national CableACE award as Best Anchor. The Hollywood Reporter praised her "star quality in her ability to keep opinions and facts straight and to move the program along, like a young Judy Woodruff." Prior to participating in the launch of AT, Terry anchored "Action News AM" on KCBS-TV in Los Angeles and served as the station's political editor from 1990 to 1994. She filled in as a national anchor for both CBS News "Up to the Minute" and "CNN Morning News." She came to Los Angeles from WCBS-TV in New York, where she anchored and reported for all broadcasts including the noon news with Brian Williams. She is an accomplished ballet dancer with certificates from the Royal Academy of Dancing, London. She is also a certified scuba diver and certified group exercise instructor. She has played the role of newscaster in popular films including "The Perfect Storm," "Wag the Dog," and on DVD features for the "X-Men" films. She has appeared in TV movies and series, including a recurring role on NBC's "Providence," and has authored a screenplay based on the first live TV coverage of a breaking news event, the 1949 attempt to rescue three-year old Kathy Fiscus.
